This past weekend, we had the pleasure of teaching another linocut workshop at the ever lovely Evanston Print & Paper Shop. Our three students were talented as all get out, and made some great work. Here, Barbara shows off the first proof of her block.
As loyal readers may already know, Slow Industries will be featured in a solo show at Denver’s Abecedarian Gallery from April 15th to June 4th of this year. Until then, we will be busy making a whole show’s worth of new work. In an effort to keep up momentum and feel like accomplishments are being made daily, we’ve decided to give you (practically) moment by moment updates (but without twitter).
The wonderful Julia Stotz took some beautiful pictures of the finished Cetology boxed set. She sure did make them look fancy!
If you’re in the Chicago market for some paper magic from Slow Industries, look no further than the super awesome Inkling Shop in Lakeview. It’s a wonderful place to find paper goods and gifts for just about anyone. (Our personal favorite was a nifty notepad with covers made from old computer floppy disks.) Then again, maybe you’re not in the greater Chicago area… If you’re lucky enough to live in the south, you can find our goods at Young Blood Boutique & Gallery. We only wish we could be there too!
